PTSD Action Man was at the funeral, holding the umbrella and standing in the rain. So, he's still there for his mates, even if he's not there for himself.

This was endorsed by Veterans for Peace U.K., a group that was founded by veterans suffering from PTSD. What a brilliant way to convey their message - get a fantastic comedy actor to create an action man movie about the pain they suffer. Man, this is why I love U.K. humour.

When I was a kid, in the early 90's, my dad offered me an Action Man for Christmas. We were playing with it together, and sudenly, one of the figure's leg broke. Daddy tried to fix the missing leg, but with no great results. He later told me "He is a great invalid of war, treat him with respect, now." This commercial brings up so much memories... Regards and respect to all veterans and people in service, past, present and future.

I have a grand uncle, we call him Unle Raymond. He fought in the Vietnam war, and had survived an artillery strike on his own artillery installment. Watched his friends get blown to pieces. Seeing how hard it is for him, I kind of like these parodies. It's a way of showing how disturbing it really is that we condition kids into thinking war is this epic thing, just for them to be chewn through the system after joining the forces. Took us suing the VA just to get his cash for his disabilities. He had shrapnel to the hip, and a blown out ear drum due to working arty. Said all his documents burnt up in a fire... I think that was all lies... I just think the taxmen didn't want to pay their dues. They obviously had SOME back ups somewhere considering they found them after the threat of legal action...

I'd say the one I feel sorry for most is PTSD Action Man, lonely, living in a dirty house but just unable to clean up because he's so preoccupied with the memories, and just broken with drugs and fear.
No one should have to live like that...
