Don't sleep on the stun grenade. Stopping a hulk in its tracks, along with the platoon it's with, just lines you up for an easy shot to the face and instant kill

Impact nade CAN take out bot factories but you have to be more precise with it. You have to make sure it lands a decent depth into the vent or else it won't work

Replace orbital rail cannon with eagle rocket pod. It targets just like rail Cannon, you get 3 strike with it, 1 shot tank and hulk, eagle rearm cooldown is equal to 1 orbital rail cannon.. its just more value

I prefer the orbital lazer to rail cannon. With the new update took out a tower, tank, and then some. Takes longer but more enemies taken care of and in large bases also is beneficial.

I kinda like the orbital laser over the orbital railcannon.
The laser seems to kill everything the railcannon can, the only difference being that once it’s done it’ll start eliminating other enemies with whatever juice it has left.

Maybe it’s not as quick at removing large threats as the railcannon, but it’s so much more versatile. Throw it into a massive base and it’ll pick off every enemy, and then the fabricators. Throw it into an oncoming army of bots while you retreat, and it’ll drastically cut down the amount of lasers you have to dodge. Throw your last one while you’re extracting to preemptively remove the first incoming wave. It just has so many more use cases, on top of heavy target elimination.

And yeah, the laser has only 3 uses, but I find I only really need it twice on most missions. Usually I take out heavies with my support weapon.

The railcannon is a scalpel, but the laser is a multitool.

The Scorcher is great, BUT: The newly buffed JAR 5 Dominator is now, pretty much universally considered to be slightly better for a few reasons: It can do everything the Scorcher can do, has the same ammo count, but does a lot more damage per shot. You can literally 2-tap those annoying bullet sponge chainsaw bots by shooting them in the glowing torso. It also staggers a lot of enemies it doesn't kill out-right like devastators. You can take down devastators from the front in 6 hits while staggering them without hitting the head, or 2-tap them with face shots. It also seems to do the same thing to shield dominators provided you hit anywhere but flat of the shield (Legs, exposed torso, the gun arm, etc...). It can also stagger and destroy those annoying 2-legged walkers from the front if you hit the legs with 3 shots. The only drawback is that the shells are not super fast. You have to account for the travel time. But in every other way, it's the best primary now, followed by the Scorcher, and the Sickle which is about even with the breaker incendiary - sickle is better for bots, breaker incendiary is better for bugs.

I have 200+ hours, and i never knew you could pop hulks Knee cap off to slow them down. Great tip..

you can use impact granade on fabricator buildings on the vents or the doors. splash is big enough as long as its a good throw

The Quasar is okay. It's advantages are all arguable compared to just running AC, which can kill everything the Quasar can only in a few seconds versus running around waiting for the Quasar to recharge. Impact nades dont get the same value against bots as against bugs. Run stun nades. You hit a Hulk with one nade and all of a sudden that little red eye isnt moving at all.

Quasar is great for team play. It just leaves you too vulnerable while solo.

Tiny visual change on the quasar, it now has a charge meter on the back of the drum and on the base of the scope like the railgun's, but it tells you when it's gonna fire so you can premtively charge it behind a wall while scoped in and look at the meter on it when to fire if you werent somehow not just listening out for the shot

For the scorcher killing yourself issue, I find that the Exterminator armors that come with Fortified help with that. The reduced recoil can also be nice for certain weapons like the AMR. Paired with a stun grenade AMR becomes a very nice tool for hulks. I like airstrike/orbital laser for buildings because if you are near an AA position the orbital laser is still available.

Prefere Eagle Airstrike over 500kg, better area of efect, can take down multiple factories, and still takes down tanks.

To answer your question of how I survive without a backpack, I first find the biggest rock/tree/building on the battle field and hide. I locate the heavy/rocket devastators first, and focus on them. I bring the autocannon if at least two teammates bring Quasar Cannons or other anti-tank weapons. Its mostly to take out devastators quickly.

The impact grenades actually can destroy bot fabricators, you just have to be accurate. Aim a little low on the exhaust ports if anything. You don't want it to hit the angled steel, you want it to go directly in the vent!

Good tips, thanks. Especially the charging delay one, and tagging targets. I normally only do that to warn my teammates of heavies.
