Alexe, you so fantastic with the french grammar, your teaching is simple and encouraging. I have learned from you that there is nothing like (will, could, and should) The past tense and past participle in English is just passe compose in french and the nous steam of the present tense verbs conjugation is used to conjugate the imperfect. This is like to be sick with malaria and having the right pills for it. I am learning french in Burkina Faso as a requirement to studies a master of project management in french. But using passe compose, 'I have known her for years' has a completely different meaning to 'I knew her for years' in English, non ? My biggest problem with the two past tenses is not remembering the endings, but deciding which one to use in the first place - the above being a typical example ! Any advice please ?

I like the videos but one suggestion the way words are shown the stem and the endings are with two shades but the ending is usually too dark to distinguish against the dark page background, more contrast is needed, I can't correct with iPad enough

Correctly if I'm wrong Alexa but I believe connaître conjugates in the pattern of finir. That's not especially complicated.

shouldn't the simple future of connaitre be je connaitreai? In the video it shows je connaitrai. I was of the assumption that  "future = root verb with avoir endings". Please reply.

Can someone please tell me the difference between je connaîtrai and je connaîtrais. I know one is future and the other is conditional and one has a 's' and the other doesn't but they sound EXACTLY THE SAME. If I say it how would somebody know that I'm saying I will know or I would know
