Good video, but there was false information. The last Yo-kai Watch game to come out was Yo-kai Watch 1 for Smartphone in 2021. I also doubt Yo-kai Watch 4 would get localized due as it would be irrelevant to Yo-kai Watch 5.

Although i would love to see level-5 bring back yokai watch to the switch in west, the fact that the company has decided to put some of their titles (And surprisingly, profesor Layton) on the switch doesn't mean they will do it with other ip's. yokai watch is a different story; it's very popular in Japan, but not in the west as much; it is kind of in the situation as professor Layton was, but they decided to bring layton back before because it had more popularity.
Even tough evidence can't suggest what you are saying is true, i would love to be contradicted and see a surprise on the next September direct. Layton took like 10 years, hope yokai doesn't get the same treatment. And also, if they bring yokai, in order, it doesn't make sense for people to play the 5th without the 4th.

would be so cool if in the new yo kai watch game you could make your own character and customise their appearance and personality maybe even choosing where they live. That would add more of a personal touch to the game and create so many cool new opportunities and storylines🤩

If localizing Yo-kai Watch 4 wouldn’t be profitable making a Yo-kai Watch 5 would most likely A. Confuse people that don’t look into Japanese exclusives. And B. Wouldn’t be profitable either since either way they’re localizing a game which takes time and money and Yo-kai Watch was doing quite bad in the West.

I actually theorized something similar. In the 2023 Level-5 vision direct, Hino said that the 5 new games releasing will be out everywhere internationally at the same time, similarly to most AAA games these days (pokemon, etc). Yo-kai Watch 4, YW1 for Switch, and Yo-kai Academy Y (gen 4 of yokai watch basically) have not been localized yet. I feel like it's very likely either Level 5 will go ahead with Yo-kai Watch 5 and release it everywhere at once, or wait to release 4, 1 for switch, and Y Academy internationally before making a new entry in the series that releases everywhere.

Albeit, this is very much wishful thinking, and the best we'll probably get is just 1 for switch

Yokai watch 5 is a new game this takes place in an new setting seperate from the previous franchise in this new series there is a great war between the yokai of the light and the darkness(an army of doom), one day a boy named Yu and his friends Maki, Tenma and Tomo found a watch and a distress for help a strange looking cat with two tails and somehow transported to the world of Yokai where the strange cat turns out to be a yokai named Kodanyan who is destined to be the king of yokai, and now teaming up with mekamerion(the robotic version of blazion, but unlike the regular blazion he can speak even without his flame mane) and kayugahime(a different variant of blizzaria who controls all flora) and skycutter the eagle yokai(which he is revealed to be an oni type yokai) they must the evil lord of darkness in order to save the yokai world(this anime has all yokai from the original games, shadowside, forever friends and jam collide into one yokai world(Warning:Some Yokai won't be in this game)) There are 3 armies (2 want to restore peace to the yokai world while 1 wants to take over the yokai world and then the human world) The freedom fighters founded by Kodanyan, Mekamerion, and Kayugahime The Wild force(they served as the rival army, since they both wanted to restore peace to the yokai world) founded by Yasei Nozuchi(a variant of Slimammander), Yasei Kabe(A wild variant of Noway), Tigriffon, and Yasei Sunao(A wild variant of Sandmeh) and their general is a human named koichi(raised by the beast yokai) Finally, the Dark army(they served as the main antagonist) You can explore the yokai watch and the human world in an over world background while you can befriend yokai from all sizes, there's also the yokai charge mechanism where your yokai friends fight the dark army and there are a few changes Pandanoko is now available for crank a kai and Duwheel and Chirpster now have friend forms and the most shocking change of all THERE IS NO WHISPER. The city that the heroes live is green dale. the new yokai world is a natural and relatively realistic environment chock-full of the ruins of a long-lost civilization (which is probably the yokai watch original yokai world hereafter referred to as the "new world civilization") which have begun to be subsumed by the natural flora and fauna. Among these ruins, many familiar creatures from the original yokai watch games including 4(and some Y academy yokai) including the new yokai, but as you progress through the game you'll found out that new world is a floating island, the world below was the old world taken over by the darkness army.
Not only is this game is the first game to be produced by a different company ILCA, and the first game to be released on xbox, it is also the first yokai watch game to be released worldwide rather than have an International release releasing 2 years after the original release
