Yo-kai Story

One summer day, an average fifth-grade kid named Nathan Adams, comes across a strange old capsule vending machine in the mountains. He puts in a coin and opens a sealed rock capsule that emerges to discover... it's actually a Yo-kai named, Whisper!

Whisper, a self-proclaimed "Yo-kai butler," gives him a Yo-kai Watch that lets him see hidden Yo-kai all over the world. Once he befriends a Yo-kai, they give him a Yo-kai Medal that he can use to summon them when Nate needs help. Nate soon finds himself calling upon his Yo-kai friends to solve life's everyday problems.

One of my all time favorite episodes. For a franchise that's normally so silly, it can hit you with raw emotion when it wants to. The first time I watched it, I was actually holding back tears.

This was a genuinely sad episode and nearly made me cry. I loved it!

To be honest, I love this show but forgot to watch it. Well, this was the first full episode I've watched in a while. I'M SO EXCITED FOR MORE YO-KAI

Till this day Jibanyan’s Secret is the best episode in the whole franchise. It’s so out of left field and unexpected. Yet sticks the landing emotionally. And it still is to this day. With the cherry on top of it getting a adaptation of it in Yo-kai Watch 2, and it teasing the events of Yo-kai Watch: The Movie

If there wasn’t an another part Komasan’s side series still going on, this would be the perfect finale for season 1. What an episode

Though it won't be for a time, episode 88 is pretty heart wrenching, not for these guys, but for a certain blue otter Yo-Kai in a yellow rabbit space-suit.

Fun Fact: Whisper's past was...well...just plain. It shows everyone's past in episode 100(sub) and Whisper didn't have much of a past. He literally got stuck inside a capsule and the priest just threw him in a capsule machine. That's basically it. I wonder what he did BEFORE all that :P
