im a bass player. your channel is fucking brilliant! a lot of the jokes you make about bass players are so true. i strive to improve, i change strings every 4 months (acoustic bass strings are fucking expencive) a lot of bass players cant take any goddamn criticizime and thats why it sucks. bad at simple shit top is hilarious. everytime you rant i have something to improve on. i used to change strings like once a year but now i do it as frequently as i can afford. thanks mate, we need more people like you

Perchance to dream, for those fortunate enough to work with a studio or live with a mic set-up like this, then the Earthworks engineering truly represent your core kit sound. I appreciate the fact that you demonstrated that there are great mics out there that accurately do the job expected of them, whatever the musical genre you work in.

The snare looks and sounds like a dream. In the studio not having a 57 directly in the way of toms would make life so much easier.

I love it!!! i'm a total fan of the earthworks mics ... imo the sr25 is the most underrated mic ever ... acoustic guitar, cybals, hihat, kontrabass, you name it it is just amazing, cardioid pattern, ultra linear and it can withstand hihg soundpressure levels ... a dream of a mic imo ...

It's easy to say this, but that's ear candy. Everything is so sweet and beautiful.

Adding the Solomon in the way you did made it all the better to round out the kick drum. Geeze I need $3, 000 for those mic's now, hah.

They sound freaking amazing man, the clarity, the depth, and the overall balance of sound is, again, just amazing, sounds better than half the metal recordings out there, just this demo... damn man!

Those mics sound fantastic!
I´d love to work with live drums for my mixes. Well... my neighbor works at his "home office", so I had to switch to electronic drums years ago. But I´m fourteen so I´ll have to work with the electronic kit until I´ve moved to a place where you can actually set up live drums and record them.

I always loved earthworks stuff, im so glad someone who actually knows what the heck their doin posted a real test of these finally, even with youtubes crazy compression, you can still hear that great earthworks quality! It be great if you could review the qtc 50's sometime to!

I'm not the biggest fan of that kick drum sound but man this definitely one of your best drum sounds ever! I had a teacher that's endorsed by Earthworks but he was a jazz fusion guy and I never got to hear them in this context. I have got to save up for a set!
