Absurd Indian Massage Goes Wrong 🇮🇳

Indian Head Massages are a famous and ancient practice throughout India, it's an experience that every person visiting India should experience but was our experience fair?
Before heading on a great adventure through India, I wanted to get a haircut and shave to get cleaned up and I was offered a head massage during the process. I gladly accepted as the staff were very friendly and gave off good vibes. After a high-quality haircut and shave, the facial massage started with an apricot-scented cream. After around 10 minutes, I was sure the massage was done but he cleaned my face, wet it again and added more cream, and performed the massage for longer. This happened again, and again, and again. Until he had been massaging my face for more than 45 minutes, my face was sore and I started to feel pain. I asked if the massage would finish soon multiple times and he said yes, but it never finished. Would this happen to a local?
After that, they insisted on starting the head massage which had the famous vibrating hand machine. I abruptly ended this after 5 minutes and let Paige have an experience. Once Paige sat in the seat, the head massage fast turned into a 'body massage', despite only asking for a head massage. The time kept ticking, they had no other customers and by this point, we had been in the shop for a simple Haircut, shave and head massage, for more than 1.5 hours and 3 staff had worked on us. This seemed very deliberate, they have no customers, so they are trying to milk our custom for as much as they can.
We asked for the service to stop... immediately the boss said "How long have you been here?!" that's when I knew he was deliberately making us stay for a long time so that he could charge a high price for the time taken.
The total price was 2,800 Rupees (£28) which is a cost far higher than a haircut, shave, facial massage and hot towel would cost in a Turkish Barber in Newcastle, United Kingdom.
