The first of a few Marauders' Era videos that will be posted this week!

I wasn't sure how to exactly title this, because the video is kind of specific. It's about the Black family, but focused on the younger generation (the Black sisters & the Black brothers). I had originally separated the Black sisters from the Black brothers, but decided to join them together in this video. And even then, it's more about the ones that defected from their family ideals — Andromeda, who married a Muggle-born; Sirius, who challenged the Pure-blood mania; and Regulus, who betrayed the Dark Lord for his morals. Yet, I didn't include much of their significant others, choosing instead to highlight how their decisions affected their siblings. (Part of that was because fancasting is hard and creating manips are tedious.)

It's complex, I know.

I do hope that the message came across well, though. These stories are so heartbreaking but truly inspiring.

Also, I know that Jessica Brown Findlay isn't the most common Andromeda fancast, but she was my original one (all the way back from 2017) and I stick by it proudly. On the other hand, I'm not 100% sure of Sarah Gadon for Narcissa, so she's kind of more on the sidelines.

Oh Zoe, that so intense. House of Black is so complex and full of potential headcanons and it just lives in our minds and gosh things like this vid come out of it and I'm always shook. Shook of how convincing this story is, all the manips, all the characters!
And even if my mind is set with Keira as Andromeda, I can totally see why Jessica is another genius choice, her scenes are very fitting it just screams Dromeda!

This is so wonderful!!! Andromeda is so pretty! I loved the part when Voldemort is asking Regulus to keep his secret and when Bella is threathening Nymphadora. You are so talented!

This was breathtaking. I can't even BEGIN to explain how impressed I am by the editing and the pulling of scenes together that aren't just random because they fit but have so much meaning to the overall message and story of the video. I am so emotional by the parts with Andromeda and her sisters most of all. And Regulus and... omg. You told an entire story in the length of only 4 minutes, 10 seconds flawlessly. From the comment section i think its safe to say that im not the only one who ABSOLUTELY LOVED this video, and how can we not? your videos always always ALWAYS move me, either from happiness, sadness, a mix of the two or just an array of different emotions im not able to identify right now, and this video is not an exception. i love how you centered on the blacks sisters and brothers and how they defied the norm in the family. also i had to re watch this a couple times before i realized some scenes were made by you and not extracts from movies/series because of how REAL they looked, specially at 2:14, 2:33 and 2:59 (besides that transition at 3:54 was sooo smooth and good that i actually paused for a second thinking that i remembered wrong helena was bellatrix on the movies and not kate). the voice overs and music were the cherry on top on this masterpiece and i just cant wait to see what you have in store for the next videos cause i KNOW im gonna love every and each one of them more than the last. thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me fall in love with this story and characters time and time again with your videos. xxx

i'm crying actually; this is great! i love the fancast and that way you show characters together. every moment in this video have made so perfect to me, like i was there with blacks and watched them all living truly hard lives. all stories of black family members are so dark & tragic, but that little moment in video with andromeda and her child is smth about a little good hope and that cut my heart beautifully.

Absolutely breathtaking. I think it’s one of the best videos about the Black family and I watched tons. I’m impressed each time but this one is outstandingly perfect. Even the manips don’t look like manips, I just know the movies/shows, that’s how I spot the difference and that manip of Bellatrix being in Azkaban and her mark... I got goosebumps

I've always believed that the members of the Black family (alongside Draco Malfoy, Hermione Granger and the Weasley Twins) hold boundless potential for deeper characterization and mobility in the Potterverse. This video totally does justice to the complexity that encompasses the Black family dynamics in the glimpse that it provides. Really well done! (and kudos on the casting choices - very fitting!)

I always feel so sorry for Regulus and Narcissa. One died desperate, terrified and alone because he believed that his brother hated him and knew that the rest of his family would never forgive him if they knew what he was doing. The other was forced to watch as her entire family fell apart into madness, death and destruction until only she, her son, her sister and her sisters grandson were the only ones still alive.
