Great stuff, thanks. I actually have risked a one night booking through super, risking the sms spam. None has materialized so far. Also they were proactive when the hotel I booked at closed, offering me a refund or a move to another hotel. Though they haven't sent me a voucher and are not replying to my emails... But the new hotel confirms it has my booking. We'll see next month what happens. So, for now, I rate them as "iffy reviews, suspicious, but maybe worth a punt if they're cheap and you've got a plan B if it all goes pear-shaped?".

Not sure about Agoda, I read reviews that people who book hotels on Agoda. And then arrives at the hotel. The hotel reception then cannot find your reservation.
