The world of LEDs never stops and today we're taking a look at some new style COB LED strip. Instead of using SMD packages it looks like one smooth line of light, let's take a closer look at it!

The yellow material is a phosphor coating. The LED's in COB's usually are focused more in the Blue colour and they use the phosphor coating to make the colour warmer.
The are fabulous for using in places where the strip is visible or where a diffuser may not be possible. There is a lot less glare from the LED's also.

I got a few meters of them in white and red, the 12v 320Leds/meter.
To use it for lighting on my Urban Arrow cargobike.

Would appreciate a video on what quality double sided tape for LED strips to use. Especially when the strips are glued heads down under a table or from the ceiling the original tape on the strips is not capable of staying put. I believe it is due to the heat generated by the strips, the glue becomes less sticky and after some time the strip comes lose and drops.

Great video, thanks! Can you compare the brightness of the 500leds/m cob vs sk6812 60leds/m warm white? Just installed the sk6812 as under cabinet light in the kitchen as an upgrade to my old yeelight led strip which had terrible RGB white and was not bright enough. Sk6812 are fine at 100% white on accurate setting in wled. Just thought afterwards, maybe cob leds with 12/24v would have been easier / better.

Hi! I'm just a beginner to the topic, so one (maybe silly, idk) question: I heard that milky diffuser always reduce the brightness of a LED strip, so to use it as main light source what is better this COB LED strip or an high-density SMD Led strip with a milky diffuser?

If the answer is in another video please link it to me, I'm new to the jargon so my search efforts are not always fruitful.

Hello! I just purchased these exact ones for a cove ceiling detail around my living room. I'm just a home owner trying to get this right the most cost effective way. WAC wants a exorbitant amount of money for theirs. I purchased the the EMITEVER COB LED Strip Lights at 2700K 32.8 ft on amazon. The power supply they are recommending with this purchase is the "EMITEVER 24V DC LED Power Supply, 60W LED Power Adapter, Lighting Transformers, Input AC 100-240V UL-Listed, Class 2"

However based of the reviews, there is a 3 second delay using this power supply when switching on the lights using a dimmable Lutron switch. Can you recommend the best power supply to purchase for these led lights? Ones without delay? Along with quality led strip connectors?

I would really really appreciate it!

Thank you so much.

I have RGB under my counter hooked to Dig-Uno. Can I hook a COB to the same Dig-Uno and control them both?
