Very useful to split unintentional conjoined dynameshed objects!

I recently made a dragon with many horns, some horns got stuck together when dynameshing and I wasn’t aware. Took me a few extra steps to split them, but it would have been easier with this!

I just wish the Knife Curves were a lot safer to use. They are so accident prone that I am actively avoiding using them without quicksave lol

A good tip apparently is to zRemesh right after you do you a cut (from the Maxon people) because the Knife tool creates a lot of problematic geometry and zBrush goes haywire after a few cuts.

Mine was not working at first. I realized it does not do it ( project the knife cut) from the top. only front projection. so you have to turn your model view (camera not actually transform) and cut looking.. hard to explain. but it works.

What is a possible reason "split to parts" would be grayed out as in even in the brush> clip brush modifiers menu is unselectable when the knife (curve and lasso) active? Yes, I have the latest 2024 downloaded a few min ago as of typing this.

It's cool but when it comes to cutting 3dcoat is still way better, (split object by cutting is already there, you can cut circle holes in one click "woaah", it has proper curves cutting with cv/bezier...etc and you can keep your curves in layers for later use). Also you don't have to mirror/mirror and weld, it just mirrors based on the latest side you edited.
