A Thermal Physics Experiment: Heat Conduction with Copper and Wood

Copper is a much better heat conductor than wood. Here's a simple experiment to illustrate how much of a difference there is between the two materials.

The answear is that you wound the paper too tightly around that rod to the point that paper acts as a solid piece!
