Recital prep: 🎤🎧🎵🎹🧐 Recording myself and listening back!

With 7 days to go before my first recital, I recorded a complete playthrough of the program in the recital hall. Then I listened to the recording and took extensive notes on everything I heard that I wanted to change. After that I practiced through the program, using the list I generated from listening to the playthrough to guide my practice!
This type of preparation helps me stay focused and find the places I need to improve and refine before my performance!

It is so valuable to see how professionals approach their practice. I still don't have the habit of recording myself, out of fear of being too disappointed and losing motivation. But I'm working towards being more confident 😌
