Practical maths: Getting the best deal on exchanging foreign currencies

So before I flew to Taipei from Brisbane, I looked up the exchange rate for converting Australian dollars to Taiwanese dollars in Brisbane and in Taipei.. Guess where it was cheaper to do it?
