USS Texas (BB- 35)

USS Texas (BB-35) is a museum ship and former USN New York-class battleship. Commissioned in 1914, she saw action in WWI and WWII, was crucial in bombarding the coast of Normandy France on D-Day with its ten 14 in. guns. This video was taken just a few days before the then 110 year old ship was to be removed from this location and towed to a Galveston dry dock where the ship was to undergo repairs and restoration over the next couple tears and then returned to duty as a museum ship.
