Really useful location and helpful having these informative videos. As a caravan towing EV owner it would be nice to know what the parking arrangements are like for those towing- this seems to me to be a weakness to ev charge sites over petrol forecourts.

Hi Dave, I did a short video on this on my other channel (EV Paramedic). Interesting that you have been told it’s a legal issue as when I spoke to the Manager at the Penhale Round who own the car park I was told that it was something completely different, which just down to courtesy I can’t mention on here. Whichever way I hope it’s sorted soon.

5 minutes up the road from me Dave, you could have popped in for a tea/coffee 😀 Did national grid provide a timescale re when the legal issues will be sorted? At the moment there are just two Shell ultra rapids in that spot and they’re always occupied, normally with at least 3 or 4 vehicles queuing.

You previously mentioned Sainsbury's free charging starting a price war. All their free ones are slow chargers. There don't appear to be any slow charges at the three new sites mentioned on Sainsbury's website they're all fast charge costing 75 pence per kilowatt. Maybe they are converting to fast chargers and will stop the free?

Instead of all the videos on chargers being fitted in south west why not investigate the charging situation in the Lake District which seems to be a charging desert wth no new chargers in the last 12 months

We have the same problem in the telecoms industry when trying to get access to land and buildings. It's called a wayleave, and greedy property management companies and landowners can really drag it out. The Access to Infrastructure regulation has been reviewed to allow faster access to wayleaves for broadband infrastructure, but it's probably time the government addresses the same thing for charging infrastructure. However, we may have to wait for a change of government given this lots backtracking on net zero.

If had stood on my driveway, with my friends, and said; My new car has 500HP, O-60 in 3.6s but does 110mpg and is silent. It doesn’t need services and has more interior space than the X5 it replaced …. They would all be agast. Impressed beyond belief…
