FROM MY VERY LIMITED UNDERSTANDING, the process takes a small current of electricity around 120 volts and transforms it to something closer to 2000 volts meaning if you toutch any part of the machine or the wood or even the surface the wood is standing on you will receive a shock easily enough to kill you
