I've gotten so many questions about using a tuning standard of 432Hz that I decided to do an "Ambient Guitar Shootout" to compare it with 440Hz. Listen and decide which you prefer!

Version 1 starts at 1:55
Version 2 starts at 3:15

I preferred version one. It seemed calmer and seemed to have less bothersome overtones. This was a very interesting exercise.

I'm a musician with 18 years of experience in guitars - I was able to tell right away which was which. Surprisingly, I felt the 432hz version sounded better. Maybe we should explore 432hz more in recordings.

I didn't know Ser Davos Seaworth was such a good guitar player

440 sounded more aggressive/energetic and the first version of 432 sound more calm.

The second version felt a little unnerving, like in an old horror movie. Idk why
I preffer the 1st one, it felt warmer, like a hug.

432 is so much warmer, 440 just sounds more higher in the head and less clarity/warmth. I guessed it straight off, this is crazy stuff absolutely fascinating!

I just happened to stumbled on this. As a non trained musician I can feel the 432 version like a "depth" sensation and the 440 version as a "disperse" sensation. I'm loving this.

Okay, so that's pretty interesting:
I played whole video near my cat. During version 1 it behaved casually, but when version 2 started playing the cat raised it's ears and I noticed it's strange look towards the speakers. I could not believe it's just because of frequency difference. I started again from version 1 and noticed the same thing. Even when choosing randomly my cat reacted consistently. It's just so strange

I found it interesting that I wanted to skip past the second one after about a minute because it started grating on me. I found it more interesting to discover it was the 432 tuning that I preferred. What I'd really like to hear are some well known songs compared rather than ambient drones. I do enjoy this type of music, but I think it would be a more fair comparison to hear something people know how the original sounds already. Happy birthday, for example - or Penny Lane - something that has a wide appreciation. Thanks for the cool vid ✌️

There was a pulsating in the sound on the second one. Like a warble in volume every 0.5 seconds on certain notes, but not all. The first sounded clearer.

I could feel the first one radiating from my heart and the 2nd one was more in my head

Version 1 was more sedate and calming while version 2 held anxiety. Wow I never would have thought.

First one felt more internal, more playing towards warmth. Second felt more like music getting pushed outward. very fun, thank you!

such a big difference, version 1st carries me almost into meditation, the 2nd one is really uncomfortable even after 3 seconds, there is dissonance I don't know if the guitar was slightly out of tune or what! I'm gonna try my own experiment and maybe I'll post it

It's pretty clear that the second one is higher, brighter. It sounds more in tune since I'm used to music in this tuning. Higher tuning normally requires higher tension in the strings, I don't know whether that has any ramification with our perception. Version one is lower, bit more sombre and melancholic. I really think it depends on what mood you are looking for in the music.

Surprisingly noticeable difference. I found version 1 more calming and felt like being wrapped in a blanket and version 2 was more familiar sounding and had a sense of optimism.

Before I knew anything about this subject, I've always intuitively gravitated towards '432Hz soundings'. This frequency seems to have more depth. Feels profound. 440Hz sounds quite superficial in comparison, it doesn't reach the same level. That's my personal opinion, of course. People are different.

This is crazy, I was hearing both songs distractingly with headphones while doing something else on the main screen.
The first one felt very organic, almost as if it was just a nice background and I could not hear it. Nice, calming vibes.
As soon as the second tuning started the mood changed very steeply, I started noticing the music tone more but it also carried some anxiety with it.
Incredible.
