Just went on my first thrifting doll hunt today, I'd always bought my dolls new. I found a Draculaura, I'll be honest, it was a little thrilling.

If it weren’t for you, I’d never have thought to even look for some of the more minor imperfections 😅. In the end, I don’t think I actually care that much if things are a little off in the screening, but it has made me more aware of what issues I do care about and has made me more careful to make sure I get the doll off the shelf that I feel the most connected with.

I'm definitely excited to see you unbox and review the male doll (Ash) as he has a new face model that looks way better than the two previous boys. As a figure collector who only collects male figures I'm quite sadden by the West's appalling male doll selection. Ash is the first male doll I've ever seen that is well made compared to the Japanese figures I collect as well as being cute with a techwear and space fashion style that lines up perfectly with my own. Not to mention he's in greyscale and in studies audio. I'm happy to say he will be my first doll ever when I find him.

I'm obsessed with her, I loved her from the moment I saw her artwork, something about her just speaks to me. I'm going to start hunting for her, and the rest of Shadow High, as soon as I'm moved into my new apartment.

I tried the spiked choker from OMG Punk Girl on my Heather and can confirm that the spikes were cumbersome with the jacket. I had to switch back to a studded jewelry instead. Mine also had a bit of a mustache but I was able to clean it up easy with some acetone and a cotton swab. I swapped her dress for Luna's second dress and put her in her jacket and the pumps from her second fit- she looks good! I can't wait to try some of Nicole's pieces on her too.

Saw the whole set on a Walmart end cap a few days ago. I was surprised how attracted I was to Nicole Steel. Heather and Shanelle are my faves of them all.

FYI you can pull the dress down and use it as a high wasted skirt. I actually think it fits better that way. I have her wearing it like that and the black piece and her jacket. It's super cute

I just got Heather the other day and I'm in absolute love with her! I was so scared she was going to have that yellow tinge to her like in her stock photos but no! She's a lovely gray with no yellow in sight, even with the slightly yellow lighting of my room. She doesn't clash too badly with the rest of my collection either, she fits right in. I love this doll and can't wait for my Shanelle to come in!

Shanelle is my favorite, since I want to be a couture fashion designer too. I was going to go to school/college for fashion design but the pandemic really screwed up my plan and it looks like that won't be happening anytime soon. I really love her and her outfit, it actually screams couture for me with the main outfits interesting skirt type and the second outfits mixing patterns and materials, she reminds my of myself and my crazy cool closet. <3

Just thought I'd mention that heather's dress with the additional retail was the original version and the same as her box art. The dress was actually discontinued due to supply issues so there aren't many of that particular one available.
So I guess the original isn't exactly a variant as it's not going to be readily available as there were very few released. My uncle is a graphic designer for MGA and I noticed the difference in heather's dress from the box art and asked my uncle about it and the above info was his answer.
I'm in Australia and sadly the shadow high beauties aren't available here yet but I was lucky enough to have family in the US send them all to me and they arrived last week. They're all so incredible to look at. Natasha and Shannelle are truly mesmerising to look at and I must admit I stare at them a lot.
My Heather did have some glue on her face too as you mentioned lol. But you know all six dolls were perfect with no quality issues at all.
I was really impressed with them all. The boy is also the best boy we've seen so far.
