What i love about the theramin is its ability to overtake vocals. The theremin can acomplish range and nunaced vibrations that only vocal chords can manage, yet without breath it can hold and turn them indefinitely.

You expect the breaths but they never truly come with a theramin, theyre elusive. You can hear this best in the last ~15 seconds when that wind-down suddenly regains volume and pitch. What a singer would pause for, the theramin doesn't need to.
