The GFCI could be tripping for all kinds of different reasons. Replacing it and calling it good isn’t enough. You need to do more investigating and see if there is an issue causing the GFCI to trip. The original GFCI might have been doing its job and tripping because of a further problem.

Uses screwdriver to take mounting screws off but a drill for the terminals😂

The GFCI did its job. The "electrician" was taking the easy route. Call back guarantee.

So your a glorified parts exchanger. Didn’t find out what was on that circuit down the line that may have been tripping it. Or what they are plugging into it. 🤔

Never use power tools on device terminals.

You should have just pressed the reset button for all the good you did

Personally, I would of used the drill for the wall & the screw driver the terminals.

In EMS, manyears ago there were morelectrocutions. Now almost none thanks to GFCIs.

You should never use a power tool on device's. No matter how good or how gentle you think you are, you can still damage it.

Don’t trust an electrician that uses power tools terminating receptacles or the bonds in the box lol Also went from 20A to 15A GFCI, code allows you to do that in the US, not Canada… shoulda put a 20A back in tho

I guess that fixed the problem; would've been nice to have a conclusion.

Probably tripping because the hair dryer, a lot of times it’s the fluctuating power draw that will trip the GFI … it’s like you can’t have an oven exhaust on the load side of a GFI, the first GFI was probably fine

Something tells me he's a proud rookie if changing a gfci is what he made a damn video about. 😂

Thought id be smart and put gfci’s in my sailboat for added protection.
The moisture of the boat caused them to trip nonstop when something was plugged in. Needless to say, i went back to OG outlets 🤣
