In ABANDONED MINE, five small-town school friends celebrate Halloween with an overnight adventure into the legendary "haunted" Jarvis Mine. Local legend tells of the angry spirits that have occupied the mine since a family was murdered for still mysterious reasons exactly 100 years ago. But that doesn't stop these young adrenaline junkies from exploring the unknown -- and bringing mini-cameras to capture their every move.

Yet once deep into the mine their best-laid Halloween plans go awry, leaving the adventurers trapped without escape. Are their misfortunes purely accidental or is the legend true and something more lurks in the darkness? Nothing is what it truly seems as the past and present collide in this psychological thriller written and directed by Jeff Chamberlain.

OK, Guys! Let's give it a rest on the negative comments! The producer, writer, and director recently died from Cancer after a five year battle with the disease. Have a little respect for the family. We tried to make an independent film with a low budget to appeal to a younger demographic without all the Hollywood guts, gore, and language.
We realize the film did not meet our expectations, but many independent films have the same result. Unless you have made an independent film, acted in one, or produced one, it's hard to understand how much time, money, and effort goes into the production. We all fail at some times in our lives, but the key is do we kick the person when they are down or, in this case, when they're gone. The director, cast, and production crew did the best job possible.

People keep saying the acting was terrible and the plot was bad, WRONG, they showed so much fucking emotion did you see how terrified they were through the thing and the way Brad had a Paradigm after the fun and jokes ceased and that rat man, shit. I just really hoped Ethan got out he was the best, but the ghost Brad sees and the ghost Lowry saw with the mask when the ghost dropped it and how the hat and mask vanished that was obviously not planned and that roaring noise shit that was epic. Great movie and the way the ghost didn't do much left so much to the imagination. The movie teases you the entire time you waiting for a jumpscare that never comes, instead you get Insanity and sneaky fucking creeper thats there the whole time but just in your blind spot

Dunno why people say its bad acting, its actaully really good imo, and the story of the movie was pretty good, the twist at the end came really unexpected.. If you want to see bad acting, go check out "The Happening" the acting there is so bad that it's a comedy instead of a horror.
