Slavic Village is not the west side of Cleveland. It’s from E49 to E71. I grew up there.

Was born in this nieghborhood in the 50s, I'm assuming the empty lots are where houses were torn down.

We lived by Broadway and Warner five points.

12-05-23 Saucisson (The female owned butcher shop on Fleet) has announced she is going out of business and will be another closed shop on Fleet Avenue. Sad.

Grew up in that neighborhood. Lived on east 64th. Across the street from that cemetery.

Too bad. I have fond memories of this area as I attended Our Lady of Lourdes High School in early sixties. We had a coffee shop we went to each morning and cokes at Kresges after school. But even then was deteriorating as folks moved to the suburbs. I grew up at east 131street and understand that area is like a third world country. I live near Salt Lake City now and their slum area can’t compare to Cleveland’s East Side.
