I remember that campaign in the 80s against dying in the fridge. I think Fat Albert or Different strokes had a kid die in one episode.

and then the fridge in the nuclear blast idea was used in the opening scene of Indiana Jones and the crystal skull (which we thought wasn't great but compared to movies now it's not bad!)
