The problem is he basically named someone he knew and made up a story about how implicitly racist they were and claimed it factual and completely honest, people online became detectives, figured out who it was and then attacked them across social media including notifying their workplace based on the story, which he then had to come out and say “oh yeah I made all that up, sorry”.
It’s ok to make up or embellish a story for comedic effect but you don’t attach that story to an innocent person.
