New at Harbor Freight, looks like they're clearing out some old stock to make way for these new "superior design" icon tools socket sets. but of course with all things harbor freight time will only tell because I know a lot of you don't really have that high a confidence level when it comes to harbor freight tools or even Icon tools.

I've been running all icon sockets professionally for 2 years now and I haven't warrantied any yet.

They got new ones made of CR-MO instead of the traditional CR-V. They did this for the 3/8 drive, now looks like they are expanding it to the 1/2 and 1/4 drives.

Only issue I’ve ever had with HF ratchet parts was snapping an extension one time.

Yeah, I can't find any 1/2in SAE swivel sockets anywhere. And they haven't been restocking yet.

The new ones vs the old ones look cheaper with lighter stamping and come in a less expensive case. Feel like they are going cheap on the sockets and charging the same. Not exactly thrilled for snap on quality as they keep saying.

Everyone talks about icons chrome peeling but I've had worse experiences with gearwrenches chrome

very first time I used a chrome 13mm icon socket I broke it using a dam 3/8 Ratchet what a joke
