A divided government would be a good idea if we had a different set of people. The current republican in senate wouldn't make sense to expect compromise. The mindset that trump has implanted in people would still remain. They've already drunk his "dj trump juice"....

Sometimes this show is hard to watch because they keep talking over each other.

People fail to realize that a large portion of people in the US do not follow politics, do not watch the news consistently, get much of their information off social media or links provided by their friends, do not independently research or fact check things they read, do not get always their news from varying perspectives with reputable/honest/factual sources. If they do watch the news with regards to political matters, it is usually local and the coverage is limited, brief, and dependent upon the politics in that region. It's even more difficult for lower income Americans working multiple jobs to have the time and energy to research a candidate's platform so they rely on the people around them and are easily influenced by coworkers and friends. Sadly, more people will keep their updates on their favorite sports teams or tv shows than they will about current domestic and world events. There also isn't enough focus on civics lessons in school so people have a better understanding of their voting rights, privileges, and civic duties until it is too late...
