COMPLETE GUIDE:

WHERE TO BUY THE BATTERY I USED:

Video Description:
If you iPhone 6 won't hold a charge anymore or it straight up just crapped out, it might be time to get a replacement battery. Essentially all batteries have a certain amount of charge cycles in them. When they start to get close to that number, they simply can't work as well as they used to and eventually die. Just one of the curses of the electronic world we live in.

Now, instead of buying a new phone when this happens and believing Apple when they say the battery is "non-removable", you can actually replace it with a brand new one and breathe new life back into the phone. Luckily it isn't too hard to do (the glue is a pain but other than that it's pretty easy) and a replacement battery can cost as little as $25.

Here's how to replace the battery on your iPhone 6 in a step by step tutorial.

I just received the battery kit and followed your instructions. Thank you! I got one strip of adhesive out, but not the other, so I had to pry. A little stressful because the battery was bending, but the plastic pry tools are perfect.

Video was great!! Thanks for making it so detailed so that a completely non-tech person like me could actually do this. Had a little trouble with the glue strips (getting the old ones out) but with the help of some tweezers, I was able to grab hold of them enough and pull them out the rest of the way with my hands. Thanks again!!!

Great video, and I have one tip to add when sealing the new battery down. Leave the plastic covering (over sticky strips) on the bottom of the new battery, and connect it up and replace the small metal cover with the two screws. You can then remove plastic and fix battery into place. You then don't have to worry about correct alignment with the socket.

Bought this battery replacement. Best battery ever. I'm jail broken and my battery life app says I have 0% wear level and the battery is 100% perfect. Great video!

Very good video, thanks for taking the time to make it. I warmed up the back of the phone with a hair dryer....just warmed it, not how. That seemed to make the glue strip things easy to pull out as you described. But yes, an easy, gentle steady pulI works. Ialso didn't put those glue strips back in when reassembling. Seems ok, no rattling, nothing seems loose in there.

Thanks again

Don't put the glue strips in the way, you're supposed to take off the blue tabs covering the tips, align them with the bottom of the battery and remove the rest of the strips so you can put it on the battery. Then you remove the pin strip and align the battery in the casing. It's annoying though that's how you're technically /supposed/ to do it
