I don't care how much you overthink things, these theories are very entertaining

Interesting. I have yet to find time to play Indigo park, but I thought Finley was a shy gentle giant. Not to mention Isaac Indigo would have died way before the park closed. Something tells me that The INdigo Company hired someone to create living mascots. Yet from what I recall from gameplay vids that we're entering SCP territory regarding Indigo Park as a whole.

Finley is actually the mascot I look forward to seeing the most. Just the whole concept and the sheer size of him amazes me.

i dont think Isaac Indigo decided to make the switch. If we look at the painting at the start of Rambley's Railroad we see a painting of Lloyd handing over a piece of paper (more likely the deed/ownership) to Rambley; also Rambley's Railroad was called Lloyd's Limos at one point in the past and there is a golden statue of Lloyd in the backstage of the Theater. Its more likely that the park changed ownership & management and THEY made the switch. but that's just my opinion.

I'll say what I thought before, yes, Finley would be a nearly perfect target for Salem based on his personality. However, the exhibit itself could prevent Salem from knowing what dosage would be successful to change him and make him go Agro.

Think about it, literally any liquids would get a lot less in usefulness just due to basic science and the fact they'd get diluted. So, unless Salem could literally move multiple crates and/or tubs of potion Solo (which considering Salem is a skunk, I doubt here), I'd think Salem had to have help with Finley specifically.

I'd still think Salem would have had to somehow convince Lloyd to move those crates into Finnley's exhibit. This is because those would be pretty heavy and Lloyd seems like the only character that could move that much. He's also the only character besides Finnley who would be likely to be able to swim (as multiple species of big cats can actually swim IRL). Salem could have: used his ego, tricked Lloyd, and/or mildly drugged him first. It doesn't really matter how, but I suspect Lloyd's involvement still.

@1:13 It's not Rambley that mentions it; it's Finley himself who says Rambley has known him for 100 years, as the current screenshot itself shows. This is VERY odd; leaving aside the fact that real raccoons live only about 20 years, tops (and in the wild, only about 1-3 on average), it's hard to believe that Rambley has been around even as a CARTOON character since 1924. Mickey Mouse himself is only 96 years old, though, I admit, Felix the Cat is already 105, Gertie the Dinosaur 109, * and Little Nemo (the earliest one I know of) is 113 (120 as a newspaper character).

Could it be possible that the characters have become immortal and are being continually reincarnated? That would explain how Mollie Macaw could crash over and over again and come back each time; perhaps that's how she'll come back in the sequel after having been decapitated in this one.

As a theme, that would involve some interesting meta-commentary about how the entertainment companies (particularly Disney?) and, indeed, indie horror game creators, instead of coming up with new ideas keep recycling — reincarnating, if you will — the same kinds of characters and ideas over and over and over again. Considering how Unique Geese came to prominence by re-conceiving the notoriously imitative "Garten of Banban, " it seems no great stretch to me to imagine that "Indigo Park" might well investigate the theme of repetition of the same characters and ideas over and over and over again in an ever repeating loop, until everything ends with disaster and utter desertion by the public.

* A sea-serpent actually appears in "Gertie the Dinosaur"; could that be an early appearance of Finley's?

I consider the arcade game hacked by Rambley so he can act like a hero and "save his friends".

However, by corrupting an established game it now crashes if you play too far.

He can only communicate with his "friends" electronically eg. Rambley Railroad, so hacking an arcade machine to feel closer to them makes sense.

That's my little theory.

I think Finley is blind. His eyes are solid milk white, while the other two have black eyes. White eyes are usually shorthand for blind, even though blind eyes aren't always going to be white or light blue. That might be part of the problem with him, and might play into navigating his area. He's blind and possibly deaf, as removing both senses would mean he wouldn't be able to tell if people are out and watching him or not unless they tap on the glass. That would trigger motion in the water.

I also think it's odd how the mascots all have the opposite personalities from their canon ones. At least we see this with Mollie and Lloyd. If this holds true for Finley, it may hold true for Salem.

Notably, Salem turns things purple with her potions. The only other character who has purple on them is Rambley, who we know is a good guy. And his eyes are nearly identical in colour to her potions- her potions are just a few shades brighter. Maybe that's related.

I think theory number 2 is more possible, as much as the 3rd theory can be believable too.. either way Findlay got replaced

A wonderful theory! I saw many theories about Finland, but the theory of Finland is really longI wonder what happened to him

Also to add to this, if you look at both posters Finley is much smaller in the old one compared to newer one.

I’m thinking the “original” Finley was an animatronic. Underwater animatronics are very expensive and can go into disrepair quickly if they’re not maintained. If the reason for the “bio” mascots was to save costs in the long run, then I could see them putting up the fence so people don’t bang the glass and effect him.

I think in chapter 2 Finley will be blind and if we make a sound we die
