Geographic Information System (GIS) Week in Kenya's Garissa University

Mercy Corps through the Adaptation Services for Action and Learning (ASAL Adapts) program in collaboration with Kenya's Garissa University commemorated the inaugural GIS Week which was characterized by commissioning of a Geospatial Innovation Centre and GIS-based training targeting students, lecturers and government officials. The Geospatial Innovation Centre was set up through the direct support of Mercy Corps and will be beneficial in supporting Garissa University in mapping data for effective decision making.
