The City and County of Denver’s 21st GIS Day celebration took place on Tuesday, December 6th, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event focused on GIS use at the City and County of Denver and real-world application by various city agencies and departments, including its use for equity, public health, climate action, and natural resource management. The event lightning talks showcase a wide range of GIS products, tools, and applications from the city’s GIS community.

GIS Day is an international event that recognizes geography’s importance, advances in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology, and recent spatial analysis successes. GIS is used to map and analyze data to understand our world and effectively make decisions.
