The Acolyte episode 3 was supposed to be the one that destroyed Star Wars forever. Was it? #theacolyte #starwars #disneyplus #disney

As a woman who also enjoyed Star Wars as a girl, I'll tell you how to interest girls in the story: make a good story. Add in a female character with good outfits and things to do. Preferably add in a romantic subplot, but make it believable or don't bother. And there you have it! Kind of like the original creators did.

This show isn't for Star Wars fans, it's definitely not for men or even women.
It's for Leslye Headland. This is a therapy session masquerading as a TV show.
She wasted 180 million on what could've been an email to her sister that would've been sent to the trash by the inbox filter.

Female Star Wars fan here. This is what we want...
1. Well written story
2. Well written characters
3. Well written dialogue
4. Excellent acting
5. Hot guys that are written well
6. Did I mention good writing?
7. Not to be told that we have to like something because of our gender or the gender of the protagonist

That clip of the bald black chick saying "powerful leader, yaaass, yaaasss" is so painfully bad, I just can't get enough of it!

They know EXACTLY what their audience wants. They just don't care, which is staggering for the budgets they're working with.

As a young woman, my message to all the young guys out there reading this: most of us aren't into this woke, man-hating material and wimpy guys. Some of us aren't into the bodice-ripper smut novels either. Leslie Headland doesn't speak for me, and neither do Sarah J Maas or Julia Quinn. Some of us like actual stories, with characters who grow, plots with stakes, and lessons that linger. I reject bitterness and misandry. I reject overemotionalism and smut. Give me the _Iliad_, _Lord of the Rings_, classic Star Wars, _1917_ or _The Chosen_ - strong male characters being brave. Give me Jane Austen, _The Sound of Music, _ the Queen's Thief series, and _Howl's Moving Castle_ - all of the romance with none of the tasteless sex stuff. Please don't mistake the rubbish of current year pop culture for the desires of all women. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

The shirtless Yord scene was probably aimed at a gay male audience not women. The actor is gay and this is supposed the gayest Star Wars series ever according to an interview with the creator.

They are making this show for themselves. Plain and simple.

“I just don’t think Thanos did anything wrong.” After hearing the phrase “hot rodent summer” I would have to agree. Just snap all of this away.

I am wildly grateful to be happily married (14 years). Everytime I hear ANYTHING about the current dating scene I go tell my wife how much I love her and appreciate her.

Holy hell the wold is nuts these days.

It's not for "women". It's for "a certain type of woman". I think you all get it.

The writers of this show have ironically shown why “mansplaining” exists:

“No, you can’t have an open flame in a vacuum. No, you can’t set fire to a stone building. No, a dagger to the chest is not instant death. Let me explain…”
