Here's a commercial for what was touted as The Real Ghostbusters action figures (each, of course, sold separately) from Kenner. Here, available are the three fighters of the various spirits (who bear little or no resemblance to the original film's stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis), and the aforementioned slime including Ecto-Plazm (pink slime, to be exact - a couple years before it would be introduced in Ghostbusters II) and the Sta-Puf Marshmallow Man.

This aired on local Chicago TV on Sunday, May 17th 1987 within the 12:00pm to 2:00pm timeframe.

Just seeing that ecto goop and I can instantly recall the smell of it. Weird.

Those proton streams were like immediately broken off if I remember. Not terribly durable for an doll.

This commercial, as cool as it was back then, would probably not fly today.

@FuzzyMemoriesTV
I would like to know if you still take requests of what I would like to see on your YouTube channel. I am interested in mostly T.V. shows and commercials aired on Los Angeles T.V. stations including KNBC, KABC and KNXT from 1977-83.
