It kind of reminds me of mirror in Clash Royale. It's a horrible card, but when a broken card is released into the game, it shows up to copy that card.

One additional annoying thing Ditto has to deal with in Gen 9 is that if the opposing Paradox mon has their abilities activated via Booster Energy, Ditto does not copy the Booster Energy stat buff. For example, if Iron Valiant gets the speed buff from Booster Energy and Ditto comes in to copy it, it will not copy the Booster speed buff and it will instead be a speed tie if the Ditto is scarf.
My best guess to why this happens is that the game treats the Booster buffs separately from normal stat buffs, and perhaps Imposter is only coded to copy normal stat buffs. This means that the only way for Ditto to get the Booster buffs is if Ditto's own Proto/Quark ability gets manually triggered via Sun/ETerrain.

Ditto is the Exodia of Pokémon. If it's doing well, then the meta is bad and needs fixing.

In Magic the Gathering we have a similar situation to this. When formats filled with busted linear cards are best, a deck called Infect pops up and cleans house.

By no means is Infect a good deck, it's easily dealt with if you're expecting to see it. But these high powered decks are focused on dealing 20 damage in the most efficient way possible. Unfortunately, the infect deck is only trying to get to 10 damage as their win condition. And no matter what high powered shenanigans you may be on, Infect can count to 10 faster than you can count to 20; EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Absol and Ditto are pretty similar. Absol appears to warn people of disasters before they happen. Ditto appears to warn players that there's something seriously wrong with the current metagame.

Ditto feeds on Zacians Tears. Zacian gets a +1 ATK boost from his Ability. Ditto gets a +2 ATK boost when switching into Zacian.
First Ditto copyied zacians +1 ATK Boost. Than he triggers his own Ability and gets his second +1 Boost. Same for Zamazenta
