BMW CRANKS BUT WONT START | ENGINE NOT STARTING

If you have a BMW that cranks but won't start we will show you what could be the reason for that and what to check. The most common reason for a BMW to crank but not start is either bad fuel pump, or bad fuel pump fuse, or bad fuel pump relay. Another resaon could bad bad fuel filter but usually the car will start for a little and then die. Also, you have fuse for the ignition coils and the ECU engine computer, if this fuse is bad your BMW will crank but it will not start.

2005 325i...won't start...found this video, pulled the fuel pump fuse...it was bad...replaced...car fired right up... easily saved me $1000 between tow bill and a garage fee...big thumbs up! Cheers!

I have a BMW e65 As soon as you mentioned the fuel pump fuse I remember removing it to check placed it back in wrong now the car is back started.

Hi my friend! Your videos are awesome, may God continue to bless you for your valuable information. I have a 2014 BMW X6 and the ignition turns, but doesn't start. I recently bought a fuel pump relay, but I can't find the location. Normally it somewhere close to the rear fuse panel. Let me know if you can help me out please. Thank you!

I just had a no crank problem on my 02 540i. Checked the ECU fuses, the ECU itself, car key EWS, car battery, and all other fuses. Thankfully all those were fine, it turned out to be a bad starter. I replaced my old starter then the car started again! Unfortunately I did find out that my wiring harness is acting like a paper towel wicking oil from a leak somewhere up to my ECU's plug but that wasn't the cause of the no crank issue. I ended up cleaning out my ECU plug with electrical cleaner. Thankfully it wasn't coolant because it's corrosive so it could kill the connections and ECU. I suspect the oil leak is coming from the vanos solenoid gasket.

can it still be a relay if ethanol spray didint helped and engine didint even grab slightly with it.

I having same problem but additional ignition on signal .

Based on workshop it's ecu due to fuse burnout .

Do advice me

Car symptoms

Cranking so long wouldn't start
Show signal ignition on
Car on P mode couldn't move
All electronic normal
Fuel full tank

Question if im getting fuel and pressure at the rail would my fuel pump still be bad ?

I'm having similar issue with my 07 335i it has fuel at the rail, new battery Injectors which are coded, new plugs an coils, new DME replay, have checked engine fuses . Next I'm going to check for spark . But could do with some help. Car cranks but no start. Just subscribed thanks

Hi like your videos they very helpful I have an issue with Bmw 328i was driving it on highway and decided to shift it Drive Sport It Drive ok for less then a quarter mile it said dash Fuel pump malfunction here the trick part fuel pump not working let sit for 45 minutes to hour it start up again and then stalls after 45 minutes what should I do
