I've played piano since I was a child and now that I'm teaching myself violin as an adult I couldn't for the life of me figure out where the "natural" notes on the strings were and how exactly they relate to each other because they weren't where I expected at all lol. This expanded my understanding so much, that I literally was able to sight read and play basic violin sheet music within about 10 minutes after studying just the first half of this video!!! "Transfer your notes from paper onto your Violin!" Exactly what I needed!! I can sightread by mapping the notes on paper on to the violin. But to actually know what those notes are and called them by name!!
