Come'on its a no brainer, even Rishi knew he was too brown to win in this tribal mindset voting. But kudos he is reached closest to the job than other India. Conservatives may 'nt get the next term but would love to see Liz's approach till the next election. Still cant get over the schooling of Truss by EAM Jaishankar ;)

It was a great fight - wish the very best to Rishi, he did well. I’m Indian myself, and very proud of Mr Sunak, well done! Congratulations to Liz Truss - let’s hope she can help resolve the energy crisis.

Winning and losing does not make any diffence, but giving toughest challenge and hard opposition is remarkable.. It's very well known why Truss is supported.... Mr. Sunak well done and keep going on. As origin you made it momentous ✌

Congrats to Liz Truss. British media had a big role in Rishi Sunak's defeat by exaggerating massive lead for Liz Truss, sometimes by as much as 30-35. Liz got 81, 326 (57%) against Rishi's 60, 399 (43%), a difference of 14%. Rishi gave all his best but that wasn't enough. He can be proud of his effort.

Liz Truss now faces gigantic task of bringing UK's faltering economy back on track with soaring energy prices & striking employees of different sectors demanding higher wages.

Parliamentarians endorsed Sunak. But the party members at large did not. Considering the Socio-political situation of UK, it is good that Sunak has not won. Like experienced politicians Sunak should go into long waiting move & choose his bid at a more opportune situation.

The term “Indian-origin MP” said it all!
He was, is and shall remain that and that’s not good enough for the UK!
Bojo is British and he CAN represent the UK! Liz the sour grape is also blonde enough to represent the UK. But Richi? Too Indian! Sorry, no can do…..

What did Rishi achieve in the end? He was holding the second top position. Now he will have much less influence. By quitting and throwing his hat in the ring, there was lack of action in the Government for two crucial months and ended up with someone less competent and charismatic than Boris and in two years time will pave the way to Labour or Minority Government. This is the true cost of Rishi's risky move. They always tend to misjudge the outcome ( as in the case of Brexit).
