Hi guys, great vlog of Mostar. I was serving here in Bosnia as a British soldier under the UN mandate in 1995. I remember we deployed from Split, driving up through the corridor in an armoured convoy on the way to Gornji Vakuf passing Mostar on route. My first sight of the war proper was the destroyed bridge and utter scenes of devastation from the previous battles in the city. My wife and I are returning to Croatia (my first trip back in 30 years since the war) this June 2025 and I have planned for us to have the day out to Mostar to see it now, and possibly lay a few demons to bed.

Was in Mostar pre-war 1991. Was told the monarch told the guy to build the bridge that would not collapse or he would be killed. This was back in 1550. The wooden supports were removed & the builder went into hiding … but it stood for 430 years until the idiots blew it up.
