WHY YOU NEED TO VISIT MOSTAR, BOSNIA (travel guide)

Of all the places I’ve traveled, Mostar in Bosnia, Herzegovina took me by surprise and stole my heart! With cobblestone streets, old medieval buildings, and its beautiful bridge overlooking emerald waters, this place looks like a fairytale and deserves a visit!

Mostar was one of the most heavily bombed cities during the Bosnian war which was a conflict that raged between 1992 and 1995. It was a war of genocide, the first since wwII, and it killed hundreds of thousands, and displaced milions of people. The city is now a UNESCO World Heritage site and it’s gone through a series of detailed reconstruction projects to preserve the historic core and authenticity.

What a place!! You did great with storytelling, showing the most special part of Mostar! I am glad you talk us in going there, except that part when GPS and WAZE brought us to the never ending unpaved road that looks like Sablayan in Mindoro, my heart was pumping hard and I was so stressed out! The empty houses, the very narrow high bushes road where we could have just disappeared and no one will find us! Nakopo!!! Ugh! The sad part was passing by at that cemetery where hundreds of young people was killed during the senseless war.

Haley, you get to lead a traveling life that leaves many of us jealous. But what I love the most is that you never seem to take that for granted, and that you really try to immerse yourself in the culture and the history. I'm fairly certain that's why Haley Daso is appointment vlogging.
