Fieldsports Britain – wonderland hunting

Paul and David are bowled over – literally – by the Arctic landscape they are hunting this week. Paul is after capercaillie and he travels with David to Swedish Lapland to see what the place has to offer. Sit back and enjoy the results. That’s not all. In Cornwall, Ollie Williams is after either a red stag or a roebuck at the end of last season, and British MPs have come up with an almost perfectly unworkable ban on trophy imports – and they don’t want the House of Lords to touch a hair on its head… or else. We are giving away a peg on a fabulous North Wales shoot priced at £1100, and we have started the search for a future Aimpoint ambassador. Could it be you? David is on the news stump, and James Marchington has the best hunting videos on YouTube in Hunting YouTube. It’s all in this week’s #FieldsportsBritain

▶ Shoot responsibly
▶ Respect the quarry
▶ Ensure a humane, clean and quick kill

Skiing with firearms, now that takes me back!! Seven winters in North Norway training for arctic warfare, though we slept in a snow hole rather than a nice warm chalet. OK, OK not all the time but it makes a nice sound bite!

This Swedish hunt was amazing! As amateur hunting filmmaker I really appreciate great camera and editing work on that. What an amazing footage... simply great. Congratulations for the crew! Best regards from Poland!

Why are politicians getting involved in another countries business, The UK has no right to BAN anything these countries do

Great film in Sweden, a big difference to hunting in UK, imagine shooting a 6.5 CM in the air in the UK!

Reference the hunting trophy ban, my I understanding is that it will become a law in name only, it can be surpassed if required by importing into Northern Ireland and then following reclassification of the item with NI customs, it can then be imported into the rest of uk if you so desire. The bill has been drafted to encompass EU law and EU’s lack of ban of hunting trophy imports. Apparently Uk Westminster government had to admit/ concede this was the case in the debate this week🤦‍♂️

Great scenery but COLD!Why do they use such a large calibre for a bird?Surely a 222 or 22-250 would suffice?Another shout out for the unsung cameraman David!Stuck to his task!👏 P.S.
An old trick to stop mechanisms freezing, is to put a drop of gin on the trigger mechanisms/bolt etc.😉
