ARTISTS! Learn how to find VALUE in COLOR correctly-100% explained! 🎨Color theory experiment 2020
Показать описание
After I dropped my Finding Value in Color with a Portrait of Bill Murray video last year, I received a few requests to further explain how I use value in color to create my colorful portraits. In this video, I explain how to find value in color in more depth. To go even further, I did a little experiment with a gray scale and value finder.
First, I painted my ten Lukas Cryl paints on a canvas and tried to find the value of each of the colors using my gray scale and value finder. Next, I took a photo of the colors and put it in black and white (mono or monochromatic). Then, I tested my guesses and was kind of surprised with the results.
I promise that this tutorial will help you further understand how to use value in color. If you have any questions, please put those in the comments below.
This is a prequel to a video I am posting tomorrow -further demonstrating my use value in color as I paint- with a painting of Julia Louis-Dreyfus. Please don’t forget to subscribe and hit that notification bell so you don’t miss the video!
