Family speaks after 9 people, including 6 kids, killed in Palm Beach County crash

The family of the nine people killed in a devastating crash in Palm Beach County are speaking out about the tragedy.⁠

On Aug. 5, an SUV carrying 10 people crashed and flipped into a canal outside Belle Glade. Six of the victims were children.⁠

The lone survivor, 26-year-old Jorden Hall, was recently released from the hospital. The family said he had tried to rescue the others from the water but couldn't.⁠

Driving on roads that you’re not accustomed to, plus speed, is a very dangerous thing to do, when no one is wearing seatbelts, it’s never going to end well.

The driver is wholly responsible and I hope they realized that even for just a moment. Absolutely disgusting. 10 people and you couldn’t even be bothered to make sure the children were buckled in.

I’ve lived here my entire life. All of those roads are dangerous, dark, and in disrepair. They are used by trucks carrying heavy loads. They’re riddled with potholes, bumps, and asphalt patches.
Note: The survivor wasn’t the driver and says that the steering column malfunctioned.
Seatbelts in a canal will only prolong rescue by keeping a passenger confined in the vehicle. Let’s reserve judgement until an investigation has been conducted.

Florida's been having so many accidents lately and so many deaths that come with it, I had gotten in two accidents in less than 4 months. People do not know how to drive down here at all and majority of these people don't have driver's license.
