I'm so so glad Sadhguru talked about the Japanese people. In India, we love the eat all you want, buffet, unlimited meals sort of stuff. The way we eat our food at home and outside directly relates to why so many of us put on weight soon after we turn 30. We don't measure the food we eat. But if you look at the Japanese, they eat a lot of different things in a meal but they eat small portions of it. They ensure this by serving each item in a small bowl, so the bowl becomes their measurement. If you ever happen to walk around Japanese streets, you'll seldom find an overweight person. Even their elderly look really fit. Whereas in India, we eat on a plate and we eat everything the plate can hold and as many times as our stomach can hold. This should change immediately. Otherwise India will become the most obese and unhealthy country in the world.

We also used to show same level of gratitude and sensitivity, reason why we built and shaped artwork of finesse like Indian Temple Marvels. The Japanese still into it are able to produce a Honda and Toyota. We need to get back to that same old 'Gratitude Levels for a Cultural Industrial Revolution like in past.'

I am just sharing my little incident from the day before yesterday. I did breakfast at around 8 am.. My mother was asking me to have lunch at around 11 am, but I refused to eat as I wasn't hungry.. but at around 2 pm I was hungry, so I had have my lunch. It was just the same items that I eat everyday.. but when I was eating, I almost kinda cried .. I enjoyed it so much .. I don't entirely know why did I cry.. but may be, because I felt the real hunger and was grateful to have the food. Just sharing.... Namaskaram. #SaveSoil

Japanese people exhibit gratitude, discipline and plenty of positive characteristics in many other areas too. It is no wonder why their country has reached such heights despite all odds and challenges continually posed on them.

Great lesson we should teach this to our children 🙏 that's why Japanese are no 1 in technology today. They know the value of life and live it like that.

Just approach quietly. Quietly listen, quietly speak, quietly pick up, quietly eat, quietly hold hands. This is gratitude. This is reverence.

Food is from the Creator and must be appreciate and not waste. We should praise what God has provided and be content what we can consume and not endulged ourselves. Blessings 🙏 be at peace ➕

Namaskaram Sadhguru gi ❤️❤️❤️ I do respect as you said the gratitude of a Japanese person bends down while taking his food but in my opinion I feel personally when I take food in my plate and when I sit down and join hands towards the food before I begin and when I finish eating my food I again join my hands towards the empty plate gives me more happiness and sense of respect to food and the ultimate provider.

This is our culture too which we have abandoned since a generation or two. We must revert to it asap.

It has been always in bharath. We always used to say a prayer and bow down to food before we started eating the food. We have lost it to great extent but we can revive it.
