Trooper's Report:

On Saturday January 13, 2024, I was patrolling on East Broadway Street when I observed a Black Infiniti passenger car with
improper/defective tail lamps. I attempted to conduct a traffic stop for the observed violation on East Broadway west of
Interstate 55.

The operator of this Infiniti briefly stopped, and then accelerated at a high rate of speed, quickly reaching triple-digit speeds.
The vehicle fled eastbound on East Broadway onto Interstate 55 southbound, towards Tennessee. The pursuit continued at
triple-digit speeds, with the suspect driving recklessly, until we reached the Tennessee state line where the pursuit was
discontinued.

Never in my life would I have ever thought that Memphis and freedom would be used in the same sentence. 😂

The suspect (criminal) should be safe in Memphis. It’s a criminal sanctuary city.

i love how calm the criminal is. just going 25 mph, not tailgating the car in front of him. he knew the whole time the cop could do nothing

One of these days, Tennessee will grow a set and pick up pursuit at the state line.

ASP needs to invest in a few grapplers

Legend has it the Infiniti mingled with the local culture and reproduced hundreds of new Infinitis intent on breaking the law. And the Infiniti seen was never seen again.

The bootlickers are not happy he got away 😂

The reason for the stop was improper or defective taillights but I don’t see that. All 3 taillights and brake lights work.

Whether it's Memphis or TN state policy to not allow pursuits from outside agencies, it needs to be changed. We've seen ASP pursue into Texas, so they will do it. I'm glad they did forward the info to Memphis and probably TN state police, hopefully they act on it. This guy was running for a reason.

they need grapplers for troopers patrolling the bridge

Tbh, his taillights seemed to be working to legal standard from my vantage point. I get it the left side didn’t have the extra bulb, but it still illuminated with the brake depressed. Confused on this alleged PC.

I never understood why troopers on the Memphis side cant be waiting to continue the chase ? All they have to do is block the bottom of the bridge not even chase them.

Arkansas needs to install remotely activated spikes, like the ones at drive-in theater exits, about a mile or so from all freeway entrances to Tennessee. 👍

Pretextual stop. Taillights were working just like they're supposed to. Running 149mph at night for no reason is insane.

That last section through the concrete one lane must have been so frustration for the trooper. Nothing he could do while still behind the fleeing vehicle. At least if it ever enters back into Arkansas, they'll have notes on the plate to make sure the trooper is ready for potential flight.

Cops are probably just tired of seeing those cheap nissans out there, uninsured, unlicensed and unregistered causing havoc on the roads.
