Crosshair Has A Problem

During his stay within the imperial prison system, Crosshair seems to have developed some type of tremor in his hand. Is this a symptom of something a bit more sinister?

Back in 08 when Clone Wars started never did i think that it would lead to a discussion on Parkinsons, PTSD, Botany, and Prison Torture. I love this show so much. Keep up the top notch coverage of the season. Nobody else has takes like this on Star Wars YouTube.

Another possibility is hemlock first exposed himself to the gas accidentally and is dying but now looking for a cure

I feel like his hand tremors are a sign of him having PTSD. If that’s the direction the show chooses to take, I hope they can show Crosshair getting through it.

2:23 Omega literally comments on in S3 ep 3 she says to Crosshairs
"How's your arm" and in the most recent ep she says AZI could look at his hand

This is why I love this channel. Alan uses real world examples in his videos and I think that is brillant

I also think its ptsd. Its a mental struggle and an allegory for his character. He used to be a sniper, a person who needs a precise target/goal to execute with the utmost position. Now that he has lost his faith in the empire, his purp8se in life he is kind of unprecise.

PTSD or brain trauma are common signs, As someone with cerebral palsy myself the nerve damage really does take away precision in things, like shooting or day to day work.
I think crossy may have a mix of causes.

My personal theory its PTSD. Also he had shaky hands on Tantis when breaking out, so i think he was already afflicted before the gas. Maybe it even is a combination of both.

Remember boys: the Kaminoans made a great effort to purge the PTSD from the clones, and Crosshair has a elite trooper training. No, he was in a secret lab managed by a crazy scientist. I thing that "PTSD" is something that Hemlock did to Crosshair. If you see the character of Hemlock has the same problem that Crosshair, and in the first three episodes of the new season he said that Crosshair have other "purposes".

Hemlock is dying and Crosshair is his pet project to survive.

This gives me some vibes from Saving Private Ryan where the Captain throughout the movie has these same tremors. The camera even focuses on it. So PTSD or some other war related trauma seems to be plausible

Allen, I’m a pharmacist by profession (32 years in practice now). That Crosshair’s tremor in unilateral and affecting his dominant hand can be telling. Still, there’s too much missing information to do a proper differential diagnosis.

He’s still relatively young, so the kinds of illnesses that come with more advanced age are unlikely.

I’d wager that his tremor is likely due to his being a “unique” clone and a secondary neurological defect from the genetic manipulation that makes Crosshair who he is or some sort or organic, neurobiological trauma from the various and sundry sources you’d mentioned, e.g., concussions, ionizing radiation, chemical agent assaults, et. al.

These factors are also the causes for this sort of thing that occurs in our world. I’ve seen this very sort of thing in my patients who are ex-military and served in the various conflicts like Vietnam, the Gulf War, Iran and Afghanistan.

Clones were designed to not get PTSD, now nerve damage on the other hand, from nerve gas to spinal injury to nerve gas, would easily cause issues when you're used to not having to account for that variable. The bad batch hasn't been that careful about avoiding protecting their heads beyond wearing a helmet, add in a slim frame and there isnt enough muscle mass to counteract and mitigate it.

Best crosshair can do with what they have available is honestly pretty basic stuff that often gets overlooked. Farmer carrying equipment to build up his forearms and grip strength as well as push ups. By working out he will naturally add the weight needed to manage the tremors better. Not perfect, but better. Add in a weighted gloves and a bipod for his rifle and it shouldnt be an issue anymore. There are many tricks to dealing with the issue assuming that it isnt something major and life altering/ending like holes developing in his brain or a misfiring spinal cord.

Love how Allen threw in teaching us about a poisonous plant in this video

I think people forget that he got burned in season 1 episode 7. Also, that is the side where he got damaged. It could be ptsd or from the tests; however, seeing that he had these symptoms prior to Tantis, he probably got it from almost being burnt by the venator.

My buddy is an army veteran and was a Black Hawk pilot who crashed in the field, which gave him a medical discharge with a broken back. His PTSD gave him many Tremors. He enjoyed going to the gun range so my other veteran friend and I kept taking him out to the range as a form of therapy and it looks like his tremors slowly started to fade away in time

As a med student, I think your video is spot on as to what’s happening. You should do more science videos for Star Wars. Your political videos are always amazing but I feel like there’s a lot of potential for Star Wars science videos on your channel

I think his hand tremors were caused by the torture he endured for the months he was at Tantiss. Thinking about it, he wasn't experiencing that when he killed the officer back in S2, or at any point before. As for Hemlock saying he had other uses, that was probably a reference to his genetic "defect" that enhanced his eyesight to well beyond normal limits. If Hemlock could replicate that, a ton of sharpshooters would greatly improve the Imps Army

Crosshair’s Hand tremors could have mixed causes, mainly probably being PTSD from experiencing war, all the dodgy stuff he did for the empire before he fragged Nolan after he refused Crosshair’s plea to save Mayday, , the traumatic events of the Outpost episode & being most likely tortured and experimented on by Dr Hemlock in Mount Tantis, in addition it could also be nerve damage from Hemlock’s nerve toxin gas. I slightly doubt facial burn injuries from the venator engine caused or directly caused his hand tremors because his marksmanship skills were still top notch, until after the events of The Outpost & Tantis. Like I’m no doctor or anything but I think the main cause of Crosshair’s Hand tremors are from something obviously more recent, such as PTSD from his experiences during The Outpost & Tantis and potential nerve damage from being exposed to Dr Hemlock’s nerve toxin gas.

Wait guys the Bad Batch now has the perfect ace up their sleeve. Now that Crosshair’s target accuracy has fallen well below his average, have him return to the empire to do marksmanship training with the stormtrooper program. That way, maybe years later, there’ll be some reckless rebel heroes charging into rooms full of these soldiers who’ll need to miraculously avoid every shot

I definitely think Crosshair has PTSD from his physical trauma, causing mental trauma. He’d start having tremors after the physical trauma, then it would get worse from the mental trauma. The mental trauma is the main part of this in my opinion. See, trauma affects people differently and I think we’d find Crosshair to be hiding the fact he’s having some severe flashbacks while he seems “calm” often when victims of PTSD try to go about day to day life again they hide their flashbacks so to not “disturb” others, even though they should seek help for their trauma,
