How do you pray with the Bible?

In “Catholic Central: Praying with the Bible,” Kai and Libby demonstrate how the technique called Ignatian Meditation – developed by St. Ignatius Loyola, founder of the Jesuits -- can help readers go deeper into the Bible by using their imaginations to flesh out passages, especially stories in in the Gospels. Just don’t get carried away!

I saw this video for the first time three months ago and finally asked our youth minister if me and her could do a zoom session using Ignatian meditation. It was amazing! I felt so close to Jesus, like Kai did in the video. It was when Jesus was calling Matthew, there I was in the same room that I was a part of. God bless you for helping me find a whole new way to pray and learn what they really mean by the "living word"!

Great explanation. Thanks for sharing! Imaginative prayer is a great way to start building a more "real" relationship with Christ.

Ignatius distinguishes between meditation and contemplation. Using your imagination to pray is Ignatian contemplation, whereas focusing on the text is meditation. Cool video though, well done.

Loved the video, but wait his mobile he kept with much care, whereas bible just let it fall seriously? No reverence, he called it big book, is it so much to even call it a Bible?

You put that Holy Bible like a piece of wood. Totally disrespectful.
