The Mint Julep: History and Recipe

A staple for a day at the races

2oz Whiskey
0.5oz Simple Syrup
8-10 Mint Leaves
2-3 Mint Sprigs for Garnish

Steps:
1 Add your Mint Leaves and Simple Syrup into a chilled Julep/Rocks glass
2 Muddle the mint at the bottom of your glass
3 Add your Whiskey and fill halfway with crushed ice
4 Give everything a quick stir and fill the rest of the glass with ice
5 Garnish with Mint Sprigs
