its called "Lengua" it can either be made with pork or beef tongue with a creamy mushroom sauce. It's a Filipino dish ♥️♥️♥️ and also one of my favorite ulam 🙋🙋🙋

I also HIGHLY recommend making a turkey noodle soup out of this its one of my favorites now! Boil the leftovers in water with veggies herbs and seasonings and let it cook FOREVER let that baby simmer and skim the top. The longer you let it go the more rich and brothy its going to turn out. Great for stock with leftover scraps and you can just strain the excess bits out but I like to make a full soup and leave everything but the bones. Really good way to use every bit without any waste and if you keep noodles seperated til your eating you can freeze the soup 😋

My grandma is Mexican and she makes lengua with cream of mushroom as well. It’s one of my favorite dishes.

My mom makes something like this but she usually uses chicken and adds sliced almonds to it. Its really good.

My mom cooks this everytime there's something to celebrate it's really tasty and one of the easiest Filipino foods to make although her recipe used beef

It’s interesting since my family makes a thing that is similar with porkchops and we use one can of cream of mushroom with onions and some milk too! And then we bake it all together until the meat is cooked and you serve that with rice (ITS SO GOOD)

The original recipe is called lengua in mushroom cream sauce, not to be confused with lengua estofado which is tomato sauce-based.
