I am an artist and would like to play with ceramics. Are the items on the shelves of a do it yourself ceramics studio carveable / scratchable? I believe those products are called bisqueware?

The design didn't look very complicated I would have used a brush and whatever color underglaze and paint it onto the piece of paper and then add slip or water and transfer it onto the piece
