I’m so glad I recently discovered your channel. We share many similar interests and I enjoy your wide variety of topics. I currently live on a 6 acre homestead in Nebraska. I actually found your channel via your Trivium Quadrivium video, as I was researching traditional home schooling material. Your short video on the topic was extremely well done. We live in an era where individual thought is nearly extinct and has been replaced by this toxic group think.

Relating to this video, great info. My HT of choice is the discontinued but highly sought after Yaesu VX-8dr with several UV-5r’s in reserve.

Ham Radio Is dieing, so I let my license expire and sold all my Ham radio's, CB is on the come back according to the Ham's in my area and it is growing fast since I set up my CB station in Jan 2021. In just the last month alone we have about 20 new CB radio stations in town, someone new breaks our channel just about everyday. Nobody wants the hassal of getting a Ham radio license unless you get a GMRS lisence (No Test, just 35 bucks), Lots of people in my area use MURS or FSR on the Baofeng UV-5R HT's and have No intrest in Ham Radio (I asked most of them). If the SHTF ever hits, you won't need a License to talk due to the fact that no one will be there to enforce the FCC rules.

Have a c.b. with side band and ham . Can hair people half way across the country but cant talk to them.

Can I just talk to buddies on these radios say if i'm out camping somewhere? or do I need a license ? I bought a Baofeng bf-f8hp five years ago when I first got my boat for emergency uses if ever needed but now I would like expand my use. Any help with info in the right direction would be appreciated

I disagree. Organize your own tribe and practice, practice, practice. You don't need those repeater people. Keep your resources private.
